Tour has been over

Unfortunately I neglected to update the blog for the last 4 days or so of tour.

To recap, Tulsa was a bust, but we did go to a sweet strip club.
Springfield was so sick.
STL was STL as usual, good seeing friends.

Next tour is being set up for a month in June, with Made For War from Colorado... Looks like it will be a blast.

Stay warm

Last nights last minute show was in Salina, KS. It was in this little cabin/lodge thing, and the only source of heat was a fire place. We met these doods from this band called Made For War, they were so nice and wicked fun. Check them out if you get a chance, they remind me a lot of like xAFBx or Black My Heart. We had another good night for merch and are almost all out of CD's. The Tulsa show came through and we're on our way there now. More to come later.

Shows on Shows

Dixon IL personally sucked for me because my $400 nikon sb900 was snapped in half... The show was alright and we did good with merch. After the show we headed south to Bellville to stay at Jawnny's parent's house. We slept real comfortably and got up and headed for St. Roberts. The show was in a VFW outside of Ft. Leonard Wood and was filled with kids. I'd say the avg age was probably 15 or 16. It was basically a middle/high school dance haha. While we were there we got a msg and got asked if we wanted to hop on a show in KS, we said yea, and after the show we took off for KC to stay at Corey's parent's house. Yet another amazing night of sleep, and a chill morning. Corey and I laid in bed and messed around on the computer and video chatted it up with bros. Now we're on our way to Salinas, KS for this random last minute addition. After the show we're planning on heading back to KC to party till 3am at the bars in west port. We probably have the day off tomorrow since it's looking like our Tulsa show is falling through. The next for certain show is in Springfield, MO on the 6th.

Chicago

We drove all day yesterday to try and make it to Chicago for a 5pm load in. We stopped at "The World's Largest Truck Stop," and had some fun for a minute and bumped into our friends from Take Control. We got into to Chicago around 6:15 or so last night and showed up at the venue. It was closed and we called our friend Vince who said his band wasn't planning on showing up till at least 7pm. So seeing as we had time to kill Gabe made some phone calls and found out about some bomb ass pizza place called Aurelios on the other side of the city. Pizza + FTW = yes. So we head over there, finally find it and it's closed. Bummer central. We head back to the venue, load in, and order some pizza for delivery. The show started around 9pm and was so much fun. We met some cool doods and those of us who drank had some beers. Our friends Maggie, Rachel, and Kelly, from Columbia who were in Chicago, came out to the show. We all had a good time and then headed to Vince's house. We got a sweet night of sleep, showered up, and Vince and his gf Lexie made us an awesome breakfast. Now we're on our way to Dixon, IL for our show tonight.

Happy New Years

Well the show last night was fun. It was in this random business building that had been converted into a house of sorts. Outlive Outlast, Just Do It, and some other bands whose names I forget played. We closed out the night which was accompanied by a shirts off fiesta and a mosh pit involving a wall of death created by a mattress. After the bands all finished we had some drinks at the house and chilled for a bit. Corey (merch dood) had some girl hanging on him so hard she couldn't have been more blunt. Unfortunately for her, Corey is a total lady slayer and didn't want anything to do with her, she wasn't up to par for Corey. We bailed and headed north east to Cedar Falls to stay at Amy's house. We all crashed out and woke up to Amy and Jess cooking us a wonderful pancake fiesta. Then we saw via my phone that William Elliot Whitmore was coming to Columbia and we had the brilliant idea to try and get FTW on the bill. Jawn grabbed an acoustic guitar and we had an acoustic FTW jam sesh. We all brushed our teeth and are back on the road now.

In Des Moines now.

Well we made it to Des Moines and met up with our doods in Outlive Outlast and Just Do It at CiCi's pizza buffet. This was probably a horrible decision for food, but eh, oh well.

We left at 1215

Remember when I said we were shooting for a 1030 departure but it probably wouldn't happen? Well it didn't. We had a nice drive to kansas city and Gabe made everyone in the van share one thing they liked about everyone in the van. Two people said they liked Jeff because he looks like wolverine haha. We stopped in KC to pickup some more copies of the 08 ep because we were running low. Tonight we'll be in Des Moines with some of our Iowa family, hopefully we find some epic party plans for after the show. It's New Years Eve kids!!!!
